Background

The BTB Conf is a one-day, in-person event in San Francisco that’s equal parts marketing masterclass, community celebration, and gleeful gathering with top tech brands like Dropbox, Vercel, Google, Stripe and many more!

We were responsible for creating the branding, website, and no-code implementation within roughly 4 weeks.

Challenges

The biggest challenge was the tight timeline—we had to move quickly to get the website live so our client could secure sponsors, speakers, and investors for the event. Meeting the deadline was crucial, but with such impressive branding, it was clear that the website needed to meet high expectations.

Project execution process

The brand design process for Beloved Tech Brands Conference is an example of fantastic designer-client cooperation. In a few days, we managed to come up with an idea and design a memorable and unique brand. Based on 1970s romance novels the brand design system is engaging and can be neatly translated not only to web design but also print. We were able to design a brand that is not strictly technical as the Tech in the name would suggest, but definitely shows the love for tech and the speakers/audience members.

After finalizing the brand, our next step was the website. The main challenge was adapting the old Western romance aesthetic to a modern site that not only looks and feels appealing but also effectively communicates key details about the event and its speakers. We began by gathering ideas and benchmarks, then developed the homepage structure to cover everything—speaker bios, locations, agenda, and more. Following several rapid feedback rounds, it was time to bring the branding to life on the website.

We identified the red rose as the most memorable branding element, so we enhanced it by creating a simple 3D version to represent the event's contemporary side. To emphasize the ticket upsell, we designed a vintage ticket-like CTA section, ensuring it aligned with the overall atmosphere and branding guidelines.
